Finally the day is here we can finally check another thing off the wedding to do list... Engagement photos! (only 6 months after we got engaged...) so with this being said, we also did a few other things..
after our photos, we went to eat in Minneapolis at The Red Rabbit. the food, phenomenal. but the dessert, oh sweet baby Jesus please take me back.. again and again and again. but we will get back to the food.
The appetizer was Pasta Croquettes. I have never had a croquettte before but dang this would good.
For dinner we had the Cavatelli, which had Italian sausage that was to die for.. we also got the PB & J pizza, which had Pineapple, Bacon & Jalapenos. The food was amazing. but you guys THE DESSERT.
Sticky Toffee Cake. Salted Caramel. Candied Orange. Sour Cream.
oh hot damn, drooling just thinking about it.
The last 2 years it has worked out where on this same weekend, we go to a hockey game. two years ago I still lived in Sioux Falls so we went to a Stampede Game, and last year was a Maverick Game. This year it worked out perfectly to attend a Men's Gopher game!
The game... summed up in one sentence. the first gopher shot on goal came 8-ish minutes into the first period. and my mama taught me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. Pretty sure the last time I was at this rink was in High School @ the gopher camp, when Danielle E Tripped getting onto the ice and ate shit.... best story ever. (Sorry Dee, Love you)
The Next day was a trip from Elk River, to Fairmont (where my 12u played that day).
We went out for breakfast at a new upbeat restaurant in Elk River called the Tipsy Chicken. Very fun atmosphere, interesting drink menu, and mouthwatering food choices. Michael got the Biscuits & Gravy, which you could tell, everything was made from scratch (Farm to table). I got the Big Bird Skillet, because this place was known for their Chicken and I had to try it! It was not to dissapoint... also the french fried were hand cut and lightly salted.
We both had coffee to drink & we are NOT coffee snobs, It was an organic. had an interesting after taste... NOT bad, just interesting.
Then we hit the road to Fairmont...
